In short

  • Subscriptions aren’t refundable. RateBench is a data product, and a built fee schedule can’t be returned.
  • Coverage guarantee: if we can’t read a payer we list as covered for your NPI, and can’t fix it within 30 days of your report, we refund you.
  • Cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Charged by mistake? We reverse it.

1. Why we don’t offer general refunds

RateBench is a data product. The moment a fee schedule is built, you have the rates: they can be exported and used, and they cannot be handed back. A general money-back promise doesn’t work for that kind of product, so subscription payments are not refundable.

What you are paying for is our ability to read your payers’ published files for your practice. If we fail at that, you shouldn’t pay for it. That is the exception below.

Before you buy, you can check any payer free: the rate lookup on our home page reads the same files for your NPI.

2. The coverage guarantee

You are entitled to a refund if all of these are true:

  1. A payer was listed as covered on our payers page or in the app when you were charged.
  2. We cannot read that payer’s published file for your NPI. For example, your fee schedule for that payer does not build, or keeps showing a lag.
  3. You tell us within 30 days of the charge, at hello@ratebench.health, naming the payer and NPI.
  4. We cannot fix it within 30 days of your report.

If so, we refund the monthly payment you reported the problem against or, on an annual plan, the unused part of the year. You may also cancel immediately.

This guarantee does not cover:

  • A payer’s file that we read correctly but that has no rate, or no single rate, for your NPI or a billing code. That is an accurate result, not a failure.
  • Rates you believe differ from your contract. Payers publish their own numbers; see Section 3 of our Terms.
  • Payers not listed as covered, including payers you have requested.
  • Delays we resolve within the 30 days.

3. Cancelling

Cancel any time from Practice → Manage billing in the app. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep full access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.

Apart from the coverage guarantee, there are no refunds or credits for partial months or years, unused locations or specialties, downgrades, or periods when you didn’t use RateBench.

4. Changing plans

Upgrades and add-ons take effect right away. Any prorated charge or credit is shown before you confirm. Downgrades and removed add-ons take effect at your next renewal.

5. Billing mistakes

If we charge you by mistake, such as a duplicate charge or a renewal after your cancellation took effect, email hello@ratebench.health within 60 days and we will reverse the incorrect charge. That’s a correction, not a refund, and it isn’t limited by this policy.

6. Where the law says otherwise

If a law that applies to you gives you a right to a refund, this policy doesn’t take it away.

7. Card disputes

If something is wrong, please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can usually resolve it faster. While a dispute is open, we may pause the account involved.

8. Contact
