## What a "specialty" and a "location" are
- A specialty is a named field from a fixed, taxonomy-based list (Family Medicine, Internal
  Medicine, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, Physical Therapy, Orthopedics, Dermatology, …).
  Every fee schedule is filed under one; the plan counts distinct specialties in use.
- A location is a billing NPI; the plan counts distinct NPIs in use. Use the practice's group
  (organization) NPI where it bills under one; adding payers to the same NPI never uses another location.

## Terms
- Annual billing is 2 months free (10× the monthly price)
- No per-seat pricing — teammates are unlimited on every plan
- No annual lock; cancel anytime
- Free rate lookup (one payer, one NPI, the six codes the specialty bills most):
  2 lookups a month with no account; 10 a month with a free account, which also
  keeps the rates saved from a lookup. Allowances reset on the 1st (UTC); the
  same NPI and payer again that month doesn't use another. Paid plans: unlimited
  lookups. Fee schedules across payers, underpayment checks and rate monitoring
  are on the paid plans.

## How it compares to how this data is usually sold
Tools built on payers' published rates have mostly been sold to hospitals and
large groups: a sales demo before a price, annual contracts, per-user fees.
RateBench publishes its price, starts at $99/month month to month,
