## What it is

A spreadsheet of your contracted rates: CPT codes down the side, one column per
payer, the rate in each cell — built from the payers' own published files, not
data entry. A practice's fee schedule isn't one document: each payer, network and
NPI or tax ID has its own rates.

## Where the numbers come from

Commercial payers must publish the rates they agreed with every in-network
provider, by NPI and tax ID, under the federal Transparency in Coverage rule, and
republish them monthly. RateBench reads those files and keeps what is about your
practice. For Medicare, it uses the amount in Medicare's own physician fee
schedule for your pricing area.

## How it works

1. Enter your billing NPI, paste the CPT codes you bill or start from your
specialty's typical codes, and pick your payers (66 live —
the local Blue plan in 49 states and DC, plus UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Ambetter, Oscar and Medicare). Add your tax ID to count only your practice's rates.
2. The sheet appears immediately and each payer's column fills as its file is read
(fast payers in seconds, the largest in a minute or two); you're emailed when
   it's ready.
3. Open any rate to see how it's priced (negotiated, the payer's fee schedule, or
"derived", flagged as an estimate), the network, the setting, the file month,
and a link to the source file. A cell reads "not in this payer's file" when
there's no rate for you there — never a made-up number. Where a payer publishes
several office rates and doesn't say which applies, the cell shows the range.
4. Every payer is re-read on the 1st of each month; refresh any time. A rate that
moved shows the change. Export to CSV: CPT codes in the first column, one column
per payer, the rate (or a low-high range) in each cell.

## Honest limits

Professional in-office rates only. No Medicaid or Medicare Advantage (neither is in
these files), no facility rates, no invented "market rate", no dollar figure for a
code priced as a percentage of charges, and only payers verified end to end.

On every paid plan. Practice: $99/month for one location and two
specialties, with underpayment checks and rate monitoring; cancel anytime.
